Tacos & Beer

The name Tacos & Beer pretty much says it all. The restaurant, located in La Condesa next to One Dollar Bar, serves a selection of Mexican-style tacos and. . . beer! They have a big neon sign that you cannot miss, and the dining area nearly blinds you with light, which is a bit hard to swallow after emerging from a dimly lit drinking establishment. However, it was a brilliant idea due to its location and seemed to enjoy instant success with the patrons of Acapulco's most busy street. It's only open at night and into the wee hours of the morning.

Because it is sitting on prime real estate, the tacos and beverages are twice as expensive as you would normally find for comparable food. But I have to admit that the tacos are quite tasty, and it's usually not a good idea to drink on an empty stomach.
