B & B Disco Acapulco

B & B is a great place to dance and to take a date for a romantic and fun evening. There are two levels, which you choose from when you arrive. I would recommend choosing the "Disco", which has the best selection of dance music from the 70's and 80's in Acapulco. The dance floor is excellent and seems bigger than most, even filled with many people. Unlike most discos, the majority of people actually come here to dance, and everyone seems like they are genuinely having fun (as opposed to "posing"). You can also choose the upper level if you prefer a more mellow, romantic evening with music from the 60's.

At present, B & B does not enjoy the glory that it did in the past and does not have quite the same touches of the more modern discos in Las Brisas. However, it gives you a nostalgic feeling of a more historic Acapulco and is still decorated like discos from the 70's and 80's. If Elvis or Marilyn Monroe were visiting Acapulco, I would expect to see them here.

A US$5 taxi ride will probably get you to B & B (and all taxis know it by name). The crowd is mainly (but not all) couples, but I could see this trend changing, especially over spring break IF people expend a little bit of energy to make the trip (from the main strip, the taxi ride is only US$2 more each way than Las Brisas, so it's not that difficult). Break the mold and try something different - you will have fun. And get there by 11:00 for the best music.
